TBWE
We are a group of of whip cracking enthusiasts from all walks of life from the Tampa Bay Area in Florida. With no age limits, and with only the common love of whip cracking artistry. We are open to anyone who wishes to learn or to teach the art of whip cracking. If you are under age please bring your your parents to meet us.
The monthly practice of The Tampa Bay Whip Enthusiasts is held from 11:00AM to 2:00PM, at Lake Seminole Park in Seminole, Florida, on the third Sunday of each month. We meet at Shelter # 7, which provides a roof over our heads, two grills, and is near the bathrooms. The shelter is wheelchair accessible. There are no fees (although donations are accepted to help with the shelter rental), we are open to the public, and we have plenty of whips (and targets) to use for practice. If you have safety glasses, bring them. A hat is recommended since you will be in the sun while whipping, and don't forget to bring some water to drink.
Lake Seminole Park is easy to get to from I-275. From Exit 15 (Gandy Blvd., Pinellas Park, Seminole) go West. Gandy Blvd. will become Park Blvd. Continue West from the exit for 7.2 miles. Lake Seminole Park will be on your right. There are 2 small brown signs before the Park entrance.
